For SJA recruiting staff on a permanent, contract or temporary basis or providing support services involves commitment to customers, and the staff we engage with offer high levels of organisation and a practical approach.
We consult as much as possible with customers to learn about their businesses and many of our staff are formerly from the sectors that we serve, giving us the edge over our competitors. We always try to be proactive, offering new ideas and concepts where we can. We’ll quote fees and rates on a contingency basis for a single person or provide proposals for a much wider service. Entering into preferred arrangements or PSLs is commonplace for us and managed services are an option to maximise value for money.
A big challenge for customers is putting teams together with the right mix of complementary skills. This is an area where we can add value with our long track record of building teams and managing a workforce for customers, so get us involved early to help with bid support and tendering staff. We can help assess what you will need when you secure that new project; we make that transition easier as you look for new people to get projects moving quickly.

Apprenticeship Scheme
For an employer who wants new entrants (Trainees) and / or a cost effective staffing solution, the SJA GROUP Apprentice and Graduate service allows the employer to achieve both progression and cost effectiveness in their staffing.
Unlike hiring temporary staff or spreading workload internally, these services provide quality, work ready new entrants and then trains them in their chosen field to quickly add significant and cost effective value to the business. We also offer a consultancy service to enable the employer to establish and operate their internal Apprenticeship Scheme which enhances the value of their company.
SJA GROUP offers two Apprenticeship recruitment packages; The Hosting Model and The Direct Employment Model. The Hosting Model is our most popular service:
- SJA GROUP employs the Apprentice on your behalf and pays them weekly through our Apprentice payroll system
- We invoice you monthly in arrears for the salary and employment costs of your Apprentice Once your Apprentice has completed their training you can choose to employ them directly.
- If as a business you are unable to employ the Apprentice for the full duration of the Apprenticeship, SJA GROUP will take back the Apprentice and place them elsewhere at no cost to you.
- If the Apprentice leaves your employment for whatever reason, SJA GROUP will find you an immediate replacement
